Al geruime tijd kijk ik uit naar deze bijzondere coin. Op het forum van geocaching.nl las ik dat iemand hem had en wel wilde ruilen voor een 2006 compass rose polished gold. Dus ik de welbekende veilingsite in de gaten houden om te kijken of die daar voorbij zou komen. En als hij dan voorbij komt, dan nog zien te kopen voor een redelijke prijs. Twee keer misgegrepen, de derde keer raak. Nu maar hopen dat deze Dutch lion nog niet gruild zou zijn. Gelukkig, hij was er nog en de ruil was vlot geregeld. Vandaag lag hij dan in mijn brievenbus. Nu heb ik inmiddels al een aardige collectie coins, waar ook wel een paar bijzondere tussen zitten, maar deze vind ik toch wel "top-bijzonder". Ik ben er erg blij mee en hou hem dan ook in mijn collectie. Maar ik zal hem regelmatig met enige trots door anderen laten bewonderen.

Deze Dutch Lion is het inmiddels gewend om veel aandacht te krijgen. Hij is door velen bewonderd, maar wel in kleine kring.
De wereld is groter en de leeuw wil verder. Dat is beter voor zijn ego.
Een goed gesprek en vele biefstukjes later viel het gezamenlijk besluit om de hulp van Sinterklaas hiervoor in te schakelen.
De goedheiligman is inmiddels weer in Nederland en de eerste kinderschoentjes zijn gevuld. Tijd om Klaas nu te verzoeken om zich heel even met het geocachen bezig te houden en iemand blij te maken met deze coin.
Het ga je goed leeuw.
Het is zeer gewaardeerd dat je bij ons aankwam.

Got this coin in Kathmandu in the Thamel TB Hotel. Our geocaching club is having a Chili Cook Off and Christmas gift exchange tomorrow afternoon and I am going to hide this beautiful coin in a little box of chocolates to give as a gift. I live in Billings, Montana, USA. The Event Cache # of the Chili Cook Off location is GC20JZ3. I might keep this and give up another of my coins instead, this one is so special - still waffling. I got this lovely coin in the mail today.
What a wonderfull surprise! Thank you so much for this coin!!!
I really fancy this kind of coin. The front side all metall, the back colourfull. One might think the front looks boring, but far from it, the simlicity and bold lines are really stunning.
And the back with it's national colours a lovely counterpoint!
